On behalf of the National Board of Directors, it is with deepest honor and privilege that I take this opportunity to congratulate the officers and members of UAP Marikina Valley Chapter for Fiscal Year 2017-2018.

Today, we mark new beginnings by gathering in solidarity; we celebrate our community; we commit ourselves to UAP and all it represents, in a new chapter of its distinguished rich history.

The second term of my new administration under the sincere thrust “Unity + Accountability + Professional Excellence” is confident that UAP Marikina Valley Chapter will always maintain your responsibilities and duties for the betterment of the UAP, inspired by your theme: “Globally Oriented   and Technically Equipped Architects of the New Millennium”

Your mutual commitment to the organization and with your individual capabilities as exceptional leaders are the reason why we are called to lead this great organization, and will always be the greatest attributes that would bring UAP Marikina Valley Chapter to continuing excellence and at the same time provide the entire organization the boost of encouragement to move on despite the many challenges we face.

We should bear in mind that in unity there is strength. That might seem, like an over-used cliché. But in the profession of architects, we need to dismantle the walls that have been erected, to keep us from being united. We must seek to reconcile, and reunite with colleagues, especially those from other architects’ associations, or groups. In these efforts, there will be heartfelt unity among architects.


Through your shared effort you have become one of the best assets of our noble fold. UAP Marikina Valley Chapter signifies the same objectives and goals which are commitment, dedication and struggle for UAP excellence that best describe UAP Marikina Valley Chapter being one of the essential pillars of our dear organization. 

To the officers and members of UAP Marikina Valley Chapter, congratulations on your Turnover and Induction Ceremonies for FY 2017-2018! Let us embark on this new beginning by reaffirming what I know is the shared vision of everyone.  Let us work toward a shared vision to build up a culture of excellence. I urge all of you to continue to display the boldness of character and strength of spirit that has defined UAP Marikina Valley Chapter from its very beginnings.
