Architecture plays an important role in society. People feel happy, they feel at home, they feel a sense of purpose and accomplishment and at ease with the environment because there is architecture involved. Truly it is a powerful expression of how society sees itself and how it views the environment.
I look forward to meaningful collaboration with UAP – Marikina Valley Chapter in the years to come. Be assured of my commitment to promoting architectural excellence as we pursue the redevelopment of our city.

The role that UAP Marikina Valley Chapter has played as change agent is now widely acknowledged. As your chapter celebrates its 31st anniversary, I challenge you to continue designing and building humanistic environments that would revitalize our city its neighborhoods by creating economically and ecologically sustainable communities.
Hence, I heartily invite you to initiate new collaboration and develop friendships with the new administration. I urge you to continue to be an ally of the City Government and work for our common goal, purpose and vision of pushing further development programs in order to make life in the City more decent and respectable.

Your mutual commitment to the organization and with your individual capabilities as exceptional leaders are the reason why we are called to lead this great organization, and will always be the greatest attributes that would bring UAP Marvalley Chapter to continuing excellence and at the same time provide the entire organization the boost of encouragement to move on despite the many challenges we face.
We should bear in mind that in unity there is strength. That might seem, like an over-used cliché. But in the profession of architects, we need to dismantle the walls that have been erected, to keep us from being united. We must seek to reconcile, and reunite with colleagues, even those from other architects’ associations, or groups
Through your shared efforts you have become one of the best assets of our noble fold. UAP Marvalley’s 31st Chapter Anniversary signifies the same objectives and goals which are commitment, dedication and struggle for UAP excellence that best describe Marvalley Chapter being one of the essential pillars of our dear organization.
To the new officers of UAP Marvalley Chapter, let us embark on this new beginning by reaffirming what I know is the shared vision of everyone. Let us work toward a shared vision to build up a culture of excellence. I urge all of you to continue to display the boldness of character and strength of spirit that has defined UAP Marvalley Chapter from its very beginnings.

My warmest congratulations to your Chapter on your 31st Chapter Anniversary!
Your theme: “Globally Oriented and Technically Equipped Architects of the New Millenium” brings forth a message of how your Chapter is challenging its Architect members to create change in our chosen field by being globally oriented and technically equipped leaders, to create improvement in your Chapter, to undergo transformation and eventually create change in the nation and the world as a whole. This poses a big challenge to each and every member on how he/she will handle himself/herself make a difference and thus give inspiration to the new members and the other architects in the organization.
This is also a great moment for you to reaffirm your commitment to the organization and set high goals to achieve chapter projects that will prop up the profession and the organization in line with this year’s theme: “Unity-Accountability-Professional Excellence.”
May I also take this opportunity to thank you for your support last year during my term as your Secretary General. Now as your NEVP, I hope that you will further support all the plans and programs that we will make bigger. Last year we had given 12 UAPSA Grants. This year, we will aim to get one (1) UAPSA grant per Chapter. Imagine having 143 UAPSA grants! What a way to give back! I am confident that with generous Architects like you, your Chapter will take the challenge.
It is just the start of the fiscal year and I look forward to the activities that we will do this Fiscal Year especially with very active and very pro-active architects whom UAP can really rely on. Sama sama po nating palaguin at pagyamanin ang UAP!

Just thirty one years ago on September 17, 1989, one of the outstanding chapter organizations in UAP was founded and the history of UAP Marikina Valley Chapter began its impeccable record of many achievements, including hundreds of socio-civic activities that benefited our community. The record speaks for itself as we now reflect upon your rich history and past, remembering those individuals who pioneered the way for UAP Marikina Valley Chapter to exist today, now some 31 years later!
You have much to be thankful for: you have reason to celebrate the existence of your chapter, what it is means to be a Marvalley Architect, serving our great organization. It's not by luck that we are here to personally witness this milestone. You have come a long way and there is still a long way to go. Thanks to Marvalley Architect, for you have the avenue in making a difference in the lives of people in your respective community where you are needed most.
As you celebrate your Chapter’s birthday, remember that there will always be dreams grander or humbler than your own, but there will never be a dream exactly like your own...for you are unique and more wondrous than you know. Our best wishes on your Anniversary!
