I
wish to extend my warmest greetings to the 2017-2018 UAP Marvalley Chapter
Board of Directors and the general membership on this wonderful occasion of
inducting the New Officers!
I
would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the support that you have
given me this Fiscal Year as your National Executive Director. You had been at
the forefront in supporting me with all the Programs that we have planned for.
It is an honor to be a part of the National Board and I welcome you and enjoin
you to work hand in hand with me till the end of this Fiscal Year and of course
the incoming administration for a more fruitful and successful Fiscal Year
2017-2018 ahead.
The
Board of Directors of each Chapter has been chosen from among your active
member architects. You have been elected because your peers have seen something
in you that can lead and move the Chapter to a different level. You are the
pillars. You are the backbone of your Chapter and with the help and cooperation
of your members, I am confident that your leadership will be successful!
This
Induction Ceremony is the perfect setting to re-affirm your commitment to serve
the Chapter and the Organization. The administration’s theme Unity + Accountabity + Professional
Excellence is a challenge for you and the general membership to work
together in bringing your Chapter, your District and the UAP to a higher level
of service to the profession and to the Filipino people. With the ongoing ASEAN
Integration, let us bring out and showcase the best in Filipino talent and
creativity for us to put a mark in Asia and the world.
As
we embark on this new thrust, may I ask you to join your new set of Officers in
keeping the UAP’s enthusiasm to protect the profession alive and burning. Be
with them and all of us in UAP in our campaign to educate the general public
about Architecture and how it is really different from other allied
professions. Help us disseminate all the campaign materials prepared for the
passing of the Bills in the Congress and in the Senate. We need you to be
involved and be part of our battle cry “Sa
Arkitekto, Sigurado.” Together, we will eventually reach that level and
finally earn the respect of our allied professionals. I look forward with much
pride in my heart as to what we can achieve more for UAP.
Once
again, I congratulate all the new Officers as well as the general membership of
UAP Marikina Valley Chapter!
