Bahay Tao Project Site meeting and Donation of Construction Materials

Marvalley Architects have once again joined forces wih Congressman Bayani Fernando of Marikina City for his Bahay Tao Program thru donation of several excess construction materials gathered from members. the Activity happened last February 23, 2019 in the Homeowners Drive, Barangay Sto. Nino, Marikina City. Six (6) board members and Past Presidents (Ar. Randy Banzon, Ar. Butch Duque, Ar. Roger Victorino, Ar. Carol Victorino, Ar. Rhain Biglang-awa attended the activity which started from 8:00 am until past 10:00 am.

Marvalley Architects was able to donate about two trucks loads of tiles, 40 bags of cement, steel windows, boards and woods. We also presentaed to Congressman Bayani Fernando the proposed color scheme for each row of houses along Homeowners Drive which has yet to be approved for minor revisions area still to be made.

Expect more participation and work of Marvalley Architects on this project soon for the implementation of the plan collaborated by Cong BF and Marvalley has only just begun.

Council of Adviser’s Meeting w/ Chapter past presidents and officers

Council of Adviser’s meeting was held last February 20, 2019 at Marita Restaurant, Sto. Nino, Marikina City. It was attended by 10 BOD officers with Marvalley Past Presidents.

Council of Advisor’s Agenda and minutes of the meeting;

1. Ar. Roger M. Victorino was nominated and elected to be the Deputy District Director for FY 2019-2020. Marvalley has no other nomination for the UAP National positions.

2. Chapter president elect Ar. Rhaine Biglang-awa presented the Board Resolution to update Marvalley’s Chapter Logo. To be revised and presented again at the next GMM.

3. Marvalley Golf Tournament for the benefit of the chapter’s CSR projects. Ar. Amerigo Dela Paz as chairman. Tentative date of tournament is on May 30, 2019.

4. Ar. Randy & Councilor Jojo Banzon discussed the proposed project for PRC one day renewal of licensed at Marikina City.

5. Other matters like the increased of UAP National and Chapter membership fee to Php. 2,000.00

8th Marvalley Officer and Board of Directors Meeting

The 8th BOD meeting was held last February 15, 2019 at Vista Valley Subd., Sto. Nino, Marikina City. It was attended by 8 BOD and officers.

The meeting started 7pm and adjourned 10pm. Agenda were the following:

1. 7th General Membership Meeting at Industriya, Marikina City. All details on the program flows, CPD seminar, and newsletter article assignments.

2. Nomination of members for incoming Deputy District Director and our chapter’s call for UAP National position nominations.
3. Dates on the Invitation for the council of adviser’s (past president’s) meeting.
4. 45th Natcon – April 11-13, 2019 list of delegates
5. Coron Summer Outing on May 09 - 12, 2019
6. Other matters concern and financial reports by the chapter’s treasurer.

Timpuyog Area A Assembly 2019

Last February 8 and 9, 2019, UAP Marikina Valley Chapter together with all the Area A District chapters, attended the annual UAP Area A Assembly held at Thunderbird Resorts and Casinos in Poro Point, San Fernando, La Union. The two-day event was composed of exhibitions, CPD seminars, consultative meeting, assembly tours and games, and fellowship activities. This year’s theme “TIMPUYOG” focusses on bridging networks between the UAP members, Industry partners, and the allied professionals. The chapter’s delegates are consisted of Officers such as Ar. Loreta Villame, Ar. Ranier Biglang-awa, and Ar. Merrijill Medenilla; Board of Directors such as Ar. Marissa Trinidad, Ar. Mary Rose Millan, Ar. Jemimah Buenaluz, Ar. Franklin Bautista, and Ar. Raymond Munar; Past Presidents such as Ar. Karlo Mamiit and Ar. Maria Cristina Bautista; and members such as Ar. Alex Anday, Jr., Ar.Joana Bernardino, Ar. Michael Chua, Ar. Jullian Rico Perez, Ar. James Russel San Jose, Ar. Mark Anthony Torres, and Ar. Mariflor Jauin Trinidad.

Day 1 of the assembly is the opening ceremonies were they formally opens the exhibition area together with the National Executive officers, District Directors, and Guests of Honor. It was followed by series of CPD Seminars, Consultative Meeting and end up with a welcome dinner and fellowship night held at the Thunderbird’s Agora Function Hall.

On its second day, the chapter had a chance to enjoy and experience La Union when they joined the Assembly Tours and Games. They visited some religious sites such as Namacpacan Church and Macho Temple. Aside from that, they had a chance to glimpse the past from Baluarte Watch Tower and amazed in the stone artworks from Kamay na Bato Gallery. After such activities, it was followed by CPD Seminars and closing ceremonies. The fellowship was a night to remember where everyone dressed-up in their costumes on its theme “Trolls”. It was a lucky day for Ar. Maria Cristina Bautista and Ar. Joana Bernardino for winning a Panasonic speaker from the Major sponsor Boysen.

Before the chapter delegates leave La Union, they had a chance to enjoy the swimming pool and other amenities at Thunderbird Resorts and Casino.

6th General Membership Meeting FY 2018-2019

Marvalley held its 6th General Membership Meeting last February 4, 2019 at Industriya Marikina and was attended by 62 members including board and past presidents, 6 new members, 9 sponsors and also a surprise visit from our very special guest none other than our National President Ar. Benjamin Panganiban who graced our scheduled seminar. 

Registration starts at 6:00 pm led by ma'm Fe Reyes (chapter secretary) assisted by Ar. Marie Trinidad (board member) and he meeting started at 7:15 pm with an opening prayer led by Ar. Butch Duque, followed by the National Anthem, UAP march and the Architect's Creed recited by Ar. Carol Victorino.

The program was hosted by Ar. rain Biglang-awa (VP for Programs) and co-hosted  by Arch. Jill Medenilla (Chapter Treasurer) and together they greeted and welcomed fellow members, guest and sponsors followed by the opening remarks of the Chapter President. Also the host

acknowledged the presence of the very supportive past presidents that regularly attending the GMM, then guest and sponsors. After that is the announcement that food is ready to serve. During the dinner, past AVP activities was played including the bowling tournament held last October 2018 chaired by Ar. Jihrom Miramonte then the start of the sponsored product presentation of Jack built Industries followed by Onduline Asphalt Roofing which were simultaneously awarded with certificates by the Chapter President Ar. Lorie Villame and Chapter Secretary Ar. carol Victorino.

After the dinner, the Business meeting was called to order by the Chapter president prior discussion and reports, Also she announced that the supposedly scheduled seminar has been moved on the next GMM due to unavoidable conflict of schedule with the guest speaker and requested IPP Ar. Grace Tamesis to introduced NP Ar. Benjie Panganiban to give an  encouraging talk. 

The National president provided updates on the UAP, the protection of the profession and the promotion of the practice. Usually group picture were done before the meeting ends, but since NP was there that the chapter took the opportunity to have a group picture with him with a bird's eye view post. 

Then the business meeting resume with the election of new sets of officers for 2019-2020 fiscal year. Ar. Rain Biglang-awa was elected as the next Chapter President, Ar. Carol as VP for Operations, Ar. Jasmin Lee as VP for Programs, Ar. Merrijill Medenilla as Chapter Secretary. Ar. Lleda Daquiag as Chapter Treasurer, Ar.Marie Tan-Trinidad as Chapter Auditor and Ar. Rodel Vargas, Ar. Frank Bautista, Ar. Mary Rose Millan, Ar. Raymond Munar, Ar. Armand Eustaquio and Ar. Jullian Rico Perez as New Board Members. All elected officers and board were called at the stage for a group picture and to stand before the members. 

New sets of officer for Fiscal year 2019-2020

Ar. Lorie presented the previous and up coming chapters and national activities. Before the night ends Ar. Rosario Roxas arrived and gave some updates on the upcoming national events. A new member was introduced and acquaint with the members and everyone sang for  the February birthday celebrators were all enjoys a some slice of cake and shares.

SUBMISSION OF BID AWARDS IN UAP NATIONAL HEADQUARTERS
