3rd SPECIAL BOARD FOR ANNIVERSARY MEETING

The Marvalley Board of Officers held a 3rdSpecial Board Meeting last August 20, 2016 for Committee updates for the UAP Marvalley Anniversary celebration on Sept. 17, 2016.at Ar. Loreta C. Villame‘s place in 59 Macapagal St. Vista Valley Phase 4, Sto. Nino, Marikina City. Attendees were Chapter Pres. Arch. Philip John S. Padilla, Arch. Grace R. Tamesis, Arch. Loreta C. Villame, Arch. Lleda T. Daquiuag, Arch. Rainer L. Biglang-awa, Arch. Ranelle T. Dela Paz, Arch. Leo B. Carlos, Arch. Cezar R. Dizon, Jr., Arch. Jernel B. Bagares, Arch. Rodel A. Vargas, Arch. Virgilio M. Balderosa, Arch. Ma. Cristina L. Bautista and Arch. Carol C. Victorino. Also in the meeting are representatives from the events center.

BOOK DONATION PROJECT

The Marvalley Board of Officers held a Book Donation Project last August 20, 2016 at Marikina City Library spearheaded Ar. Marilyn A. Corral as Project Committee Chairman.  The Chapter continuously helps the Marikina City Library by donating books and other references gathered from our members.  There were 829 total number of books and magazines donated.

UAP DISTRICT A5 TURNOVER CEREMONIES AND JOINT INDUCTION OF CHAPTER OFFICERS FY 206-2017

The UAP Regional District A5 is one of the regional district organizations that are the second largest of the twenty regional districts in United Architects of the Philippines with over 2000 members.

On August 18, 2016, at the historical venue of Club Filipino, Greenhills in San Juan, UAP RD-A5 held its Turnover Ceremonies and Joint Induction of Chapter Officers. The momentous event was attended by UAP National Officials as well as the Officers of RD-A5 Member Chapters of Rizal - Taytay, Pasig City, Marikina Valley, San Juan – Mandaluyong, Greenhills, Rizal East, Rizal – Kalayaan 100, Rizal – Cainta 101, San Juan – Pinaglabanan, Southern California, California 116, sponsors and guests.

Ar. Janice S. Rodriguez; UAP RD – A5 Council Treasurer   delivered her welcome remarks upon the opening of the ceremonies, followed by the acknowledgment of guests by UAP RD-A5 Council Secretary Karen T. Yong, while the Ar. Catherine S. Garcia; UAP RD-A5 Council Auditor formally introduced the Honourable Guest Speaker Ar. Yolanda David – Reyes; the Commissioner of the Philippine Professional Regulation Commission.

2nd SPECIAL BOARD FOR ANNIVERSARY MEETING

The Marvalley Board of Officers held a 2nd Special Board Meeting last August 12, 2016 at 7:00 pm in Aristocrat, Marcos Highway.  Attendees were Chapter Pres. Arch. Philip John S. Padilla, Grace Anne R. Tamesis, Loreta C. Villame, Lleda T. Daquiuag, Jernel B. Bagares, Cezar R. Dizon, Jr., Rodelo A. Vargas,  Ranelle T. Dela Paz, Virgilio M. Balderosa, Frank E. Bautista, Ma. Cristina L. Bautista, Roger M. Victorino and Carol C. Victorino. The agenda taken up were the 31st Chapter Anniversary updates of each committee, preparation and the finality of the venue for September 17, 2016.

Philip John S. Padilla, Grace Anne R. Tamesis, Lleda T. Daquiuag,  Jernel B. Bagares, Ranier L. Biglang-Awa, Cezar R. Dizon, Jr,  Anthony M. Rivera, Rodelo A. Vargas, Paul Mari D. Lamagna, Frank Bautista, Ma. Cristina L. Bautista, Roger M. Victorino, Carol C. Victorino. The agenda taken up were the 31st Chapter Anniversary which is scheduled on September 17, 2016 at 7:00 pm.

2nd GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING

The United Architects of the Philippines Marvalley Chapter held last August 1, 2016 its 2nd General Membership Meeting (GMM) @ Cafe Lidia Restaurant, San Roque, Marikina City.

Started with an invocation prayer by Ar. Grace Tamesis, the meeting was formally called to order. After the two (3) sponsors (Emerald, Jackbilt Industries, and Queensway Builders Inc.) have presented their quality products, and one (1) guest speaker Arch. Michaela Rosette M. Santos.  She is the AVP for Academe of the Philippine Green Building Initiative (PGIB), an organization of professional organizations.  She discussed the new Green Building Code, which includes a Philippine –based green building rating system known as GREEN or Geared for Resiliency and Energy Efficiency for the Environment, GREEN Accredited Design Professional and Accredited Assessor.  

Business proper for the architects immediately followed. Activities such is Joint Area Assembly, District A5 Joint Induction of Chapter New Officers, Courtesy Call with Marikina Mayor and Vice Mayor, Book Donation and other activities, programs, and events to be held within the next months  and encouraged each one of us to participate and support for the success of our Chapter.
